Blue Tears
The Story

"Life's a 3 minute pop song,
Learn the words and sing along."

Pop-wise rock with a dash of spontaneity and wit makes up Nashville-based MayDay Ground, a trio with memorable hooks, driving beat, and signature vocals.
Lead vocalist Michael Spears sings with a breathy boyishness that leaves you with images of 60's sunshine and vibrations of love.  The poetic echo of Bryan Hall's guitar shimmers with mood and wah-wah.  The deliberate pulse and textured vocals of drummer Robert Streets groove with spark and vibe.  Add tambourine and a swinging Farfisa organ for good measure, and you experience the essence of MayDay Ground.
Frontman/bassist Michael Spears teamed up with top rock tunesmith, Billy Falcon, to write some of the songs for the upcoming MayDay Ground release.  The results of their collaboration are pop-sure rock hits, refreshingly simple, yet cleverly crafted, that won't leave your consciousness.  Falcon, alumni of rock’s noble underground (Jon Bon Jovi, Stevie Nicks), first started working with Spears on Songs About Girls, Falcon's latest release that Spears co-produced.  Those sessions led to Michael producing Rose Falcon on her Columbia Records single Up, Up, Up, a top ten hit that was featured on several movie soundtracks.
Guitarist/Vocalist Bryan Hall and Michael Spears were childhood friends that were both part of 90's MCA band Blue Tears.  Since that time, they have written 100's of songs, worked on numerous projects, such as Songs About Girls, which ultimately led to the beginning of what is now MayDay Ground.  Bryan is also a musical producer for an independent film company.
The final piece to MayDay Ground is Drummer/Vocalist Robert Streets, who balances a career between producing and session work.  Streets co-produced an album for Atenzia Records last year, Attraction 65, which received critical acclaim, including MelodicRock.com naming the project the #8 album of 2003.  It was on that record that Streets had the chance to work with Spears, and they found their musical common ground.
From there, MayDay Ground the band was formed!  Yeah!  Since then, Michael, Bryan, and Robert have been writing and working in the studio, and are close to completing their MayDay Ground release.
Look for the debut project from MayDay Ground soon!
