Former Blue Tears front-man Gregg Fulkerson finds musical re-birth in his
new band, Attraction 65. Together, with a group of seasoned players,
Attraction 65 is a musical force that has the rare ability to capture the
dynamics of a live rock show in the studio, and is preparing to release
their debut album this summer.
Attraction 65 is Gregg Fulkerson, lead vocals and guitars; Robert Streets,
solo backing vocals and acoustic guitars; Michael Spears, bass guitar and
backing vocals; Paul Zegelien, electric guitar and backing vocals; Ludo
Baccherini, drums and backing vocals.
"These songs are born from true life experiences," says Fulkerson, a
gifted singer/songwriter, wise enough to let his heart speak for
itself. "I want to get the music to the people and do it honest."
Gregg and Michael have been friends since college, and were the nucleus of
Blue Tears, a power rock band, signed to MCA Records in the days of loud
guitars and even longer hair. As the LA music scene turned to
Seattle, Gregg and Michael turned to the studio to write songs and work on
solo projects. Gregg first worked on a solo album for ex-Stryper
singer
Michael Sweet, on which he penned its first
number one single. He continued to write and prepare for what is now
Attraction 65.
Bassist Michael Spears most recently produced Rose Falcon's single for the
hit Disney movie, "Inspector Gadget". He is also re-mixing the album
Songs for Girls for Bon Jovi
collaborator Billy Falcon. After a few years apart, Gregg and Michael
reunited along with drummer Ludo Baccherini, from Florence, Italy, and
started preparing to cut tracks for the upcoming album.
"Music is passionate," says Ludo. "If music, or anything else for
that matter, does not come from the heart, it does not exist."
Ludo's career as a drummer began in small clubs, and quickly moved to
stadiums all over Europe. After relocating to the United States
where he played for local LA bands, he ended up in Nashville, working with
recording artist Mitch Malloy and eventually, Attraction 65.
As Gregg penned the songs, he and guitarist Paul Zegelien played acoustic
shows to try out the new material. After the success of those
performances, Paul was considered a member of the band. Paul's
favorite song on the album is "Call My Name," because of its message of
hope.
The last piece of this musical puzzle is singer/songwriter/producer Robert
Streets, Fulkerson's long time friend and collaborator. Streets were
brought to Nashville by Sony Music and have spent the last few years
producing and singing on various projects. "I was originally brought
in on this album for my voice and my ears, but after many long nights in
the studio with Gregg, we agreed, that I had to be a member of Attraction
65."

Gregg's Notes:
Ahhh.. the big rocker to blow your face off. Have to have a kicker right at the
beginning. For those of you losing your religion, losing your grip... believe.  And
no, it's not a contemporary Christian song... ha ha.

Gregg's Notes:
Very serious song. Let's just say it deals with addiction. That's my take on it, anyway.
Could be a lot of things. We all see them - people sidetracked in life, afraid to move forward, just
pulled over on the road of life... medicating themselves senseless just to get through the day. This
song is just a song of encouragement. Everyone reaches a crossroads, and everyone's got to choose.

Gregg's Notes:
This is a big one. This is major. A "companion" song to "Roll On." How many of us
are sitting there, waiting for that train to come rolling around the bend to take us where?
Love, Happiness... It's all coming, right? It's going to come to me one of these days, just
waiting. And then one day, 20 years later, you realize you've been waiting your whole life
and that dream has passed you by. It's too late. Don't waste your life away waiting
on that train.

Gregg's Notes:
"Stand" is one that changed drastically during the making of the record. It was a full on
rocker from the start at one point. It just didn't have the same soul it has now. It has
such a strong message of hope and encouragement, and it just wasn't coming across that way by
banging everyone over the head with it. After I cut out all the drums and loud guitars on the
beginning, it let the song breathe. I re-sang the whole thing in a couple of takes and was
really pleased with it.

Strong |

Gregg's Notes:
Just the truest love song I ever wrote... meant every word.
We included "Strong", "Call My Name", and "Storm In My Heart" on the new record because quite simply,
they were three of my best songs ever, and no one had heard them, other than on those bad demos that were
being passed around. I have always felt that those were my three best songs of all time, to be honest
with you, and they weren't on the Blue Tears record. I had "Call My
Name" for that record, but the producer didn't want to use it. If I could play one song on an acoustic
guitar to anyone and only had a chance to play that one song to show them what I do, it would be one of
those three. Hmmm... then again, maybe "Eden." Hard to say. Let's say it would be one of
those four.

Gregg's Notes:
This is the closest I ever came to religion in my music. Whose perspective is this
song written from? You tell me. Sometimes it's "him", sometimes it's me.
Sometimes it's a man/woman thing. Depends on the mood I'm in.

This song was written at the saddest time of my life about the saddest event possible.
A song about dealing with a great loss.

"Swept Away" is that guy in "Roll On" who doesn't get his act together. It's that guy lying

This is probably my favorite of the new songs. Very, very difficult to write a song about
